Well, I got my pilot’s license, my senior year of law school, I had thought about entering the military, as my father had done and becoming a pilot, but that never materialized, so I went on to become a private pilot, and shortly after I began flying, I was hired by a law firm who specialized in airplane and helicopter crash litigation and got an opportunity first hand to learn about the investigation and the litigation of both private plane accidents involving single twin-engine private planes and also commercial aviation litigation, and was involved in working on a number of the major jet crashes back in the 70s and 80s that had far reaching ramifications in the aviation industry.
