I spent the first few years of my career representing what we affectionately refer to as the evil empire, big business and big insurance, and it was recommended to me that I actually take that path to learn from big business and big insurance, how they evaluated claims, how they investigated claims, and how they went about defending claims up through in a trial and appeal, and the experience that I gained during those years has been invaluable for me in understanding how my opponents are looking at the claims of the people who I am representing, and how they are going to react to the information that has developed during the case, and it helps me give my clients, I think, an insight into how the insurance industry is looking at their claim and it makes it easier for them to often understand why it is that their claim is being litigated and why some cases need to go to trial.
