Bicycle Accidents in California
Recent studies show that over 700,000 bicyclists have been injured in the past decade in California. Although bicycles are not considered vehicles in California, they are still governed by some of the same traffic laws, which means drivers are still required to show them respect on the road. Unfortunately, the reason so many bicyclists are injured every year is due to drivers failing to check their blind spots, turning directly in front of bicyclists, opening doors in front of them, or driving under the influence.
The police are currently conducting a thorough examination to determine what caused the truck driver to crash into Walker. They’re checking road conditions, weather conditions, vehicle conditions, and the truck driver’s mental condition. Once they come to a conclusion, Walker could file a personal injury lawsuit to help cover current and future medical expenses.
