Humboldt County, CA – One Person Injured in Car Accident Near Highway 255

Humboldt County, CA (January 17, 2019) – Police and emergency responders arrived at the scene of a car accident in the area of Highway 255 and New Navy Base Road. The accident took place last evening, January 16, around 6:37 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene to find that two vehicles collided for reasons that are not yet known. One of the vehicles was a Chevrolet Aveo, which sustained major front-end damage as a result of the crash.

Paramedics said that one person inside the Aveo was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. However, at this time, the name and condition of that person have not been released.

Police continue their investigation into the accident to determine liability.
