Riverside County, CA – One Dead and Two Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on 60 Freeway

Riverside County, CA (July 15, 2018) – A local and reliable news source reported that one person had tragically died in a wrong-way crash that also injured two others on Sunday morning in Riverside County. The fatal accident reportedly took place on the westbound 60 Freeway, in the vicinity of the Main Street off-ramp at approximately 3:30 a.m.

The California Highway Patrol stated that a woman was apparently driving eastbound in a red Mustang when she reportedly collided head-on with a black Dodge van for reasons that are unknown at this time. One male passenger who was riding in the van at the time was sadly killed as a result of the crash. The driver of the van was somehow able to free himself from the massive wreck. That man reportedly survived with serious injuries.

The female driver who was operating the Mustang at the time of the collision also sustained very serious injuries. Emergency responders were quick to arrive on the scene in order to attend to the victims. Both injured parties were immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment. Neither the names of the victim who died nor of those who suffered injuries have been released in order to provide time to notify loved ones. The cause of this deadly collision is presently under investigation by authorities.
