Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 91 Leaves One Individual with Severe Injuries
Corona, CA (June 15, 2018) A multi-vehicle crash on Highway 91 has severely injured at least one person. According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred on Friday afternoon in Corona around 4:14 p.m
The multi-vehicle pileup happened on Highway 91 near the Highway 71 off-ramp. Both Corona firefighters and American Medical Response crews arrived at the scene to administer care. One victim, identified only as the passenger in a white stake bed truck, suffered major injuries as a result of the crash. The individual was transported to Corona Regional Medical Center to receive treatment for their injuries and the state of their condition is unknown at this time. The other individuals involved in the crash appear to have suffered only minor injuries.Â
An investigation is ongoing into the exact cause of the accident and the names of those involved in the crash were not immediately released to the public. Though the CHP released information regarding the accident, they did not specify the number of vehicles involved in the crash nor the number of people injured. Initial reports indicate that there were no fatalities and the normal traffic resumed in the area before 7 p.m.
