1 Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Sanger, California

Tommy Wright Hit, Killed on North Bethel Avenue Near Jennie Avenue

Sanger, CA (June 15, 2018) – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a motorist. The accident occurred on North Bethel Avenue near Jennie Avenue around 2:25 a.m.

According to initial reports by the Sanger Police, a woman driving on North Bethel Avenue struck the 39-year-old man after failing to seem him lying on the road. The driver did not sustain any injuries as a result of the crash.  

Following the accident, the female motorist stopped her vehicle and attempted to administer care to the injured individual. Eyewitness reports conveyed to authorities stated that the pedestrian had been lying on the floor just before being struck by the vehicle. The pedestrian has been identified as 39-year-old Tommy Wright.

Initial reports indicate that Wright died as a result of the injuries he sustained during the accident. An investigation is ongoing to determine why Wright was in the road. The name of the driver has not been released to the public.
