Gilroy, CA- Man Killed When Motorcycle and Pickup Crash on Bolsa Rd
Gilroy, CA (June 27, 2019)- A pickup truck and a motorcycle crashed at Bolsa Road and Shore Road on Wednesday at approximately 5:35 am. The crash happened when a Honda CBR600 in the northbound lanes of Bolsa Road pulled into the right turn lane to pass some stopped vehicles close to the Shore Road intersection.
A Ford F-150 truck making a left turn from the southbound side of Bolsa Road to Shore Road collided with the motorcycle. The force of the crash threw the rider from the motorcycle; he subsequently passed away at the scene.
The victim has been identified as 37-year-old Hollister resident Richardpeter Holguin.
The driver of the pickup, a 35-year-old Watsonville resident, was uninjured.
The crash is under investigation.
