17-Year-Old Woman Injured after Hit-and-Run Accident in Guerneville
(June 13, 2018) According to a reputable news source, the passenger in a Dodge Neon sedan was seriously injured as the result of the car she was in crashing into a guardrail Tuesday night. The accident happened sometime around 11:25 p.m. on River Road. Skylar Storm Sanchez, 21, was driving the vehicle when it crashed into two sections of the guardrail east of Oddfellows Park Road, subsequently injuring the passenger.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene to find the teenaged passenger suffering from at least moderate injuries. According to medical records, the young woman was transported from the scene to be treated for her injuries at a local hospital. Police reported that Sanchez, the driver of the car fled the crash site, and she is currently still at large while police are investigating the crash. California Highway Patrol has stated that alcohol is likely a factor in the accident, although further investigation is needed to determine the cause.
