Fort Independence, CA – 68-Year-Old Deborah Ann Yank Injured in Car Accident on 395 Freeway

Fort Independence, CA (February 24, 2019) – A car accident took place on US-395 Freeway at Fort Independence Travel Plaza, near Bishop, injuring a 68-year-old woman identified as Deborah Ann Yank.

The California Highway Patrol stated that the crash happened around 12:30 p.m. and occurred when a woman in a Toyota Sienna exited the plaza and went to turn north on the 395.

Her car then pulled directly in front of Deborah Ann Yank and hit the right side of her vehicle. A tire on Deborah Ann Yank’s car dislodged, which caused her automobile to move into the path of a 2018 Toyota 4-Runner.

Paramedics came to the scene and took the injured victim to the Renown Regional Medical Center. She had suffered major injuries. An investigation is still pending at this time.
