San Bernardino, CA – Gila Lopez Killed in Fatal Car Accident on East Highland Avenue
San Bernardino, CA (March 6, 2019) – On the morning of March 3rd, a fatal car accident happened on East Highland Avenue around 1:00 a.m. According to the reports, a 60-year-old woman named Gila Lopez was driving a Kia Soul when a gray Chrysler 300 rear-ended her.
The 32-year-old man driving the Chrysler was speeding and suspected to be under the influence at the time of the crash. Both vehicles spun out of control as a result of the accident, leaving both seriously damaged.
When emergency crews arrived at the scene to help, they found Lopez suffering from serious injuries and transported her to St. Bernardine Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The man driving the Chrysler also sustained injuries and was transported to Arrowhead Medical Center for treatment.
The police are currently investigating this accident to determine if the man driving the Chrysler was truly under the influence or not.
