Stockton, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 5

Stockton, CA (March 8, 2019) – On Interstate 5, police responded to a multi-vehicle crash that took place Thursday morning and led to major injuries at least one party.

The accident occurred in the southbound lanes of the highway around 5:43 a.m. The California Highway Patrol said that a driver had been traveling 80 mph when they suddenly crashed into the center divider. Another motorist lost control due to the accident, which made them go over an embankment near a water treatment plant.

Police are also reporting that a third vehicle identified as a Ford Fusion was also involved.

Paramedics assisted those who received injuries in the accident. One person sustained major injuries.

At this time, the California Highway Patrol continues to investigate to determine fault.
