Los Banos, CA- Update: Arrest Made in Crash on Pacheco Blvd in Los Banos

Los Banos, CA (March 12, 2019) – Police previously reported that an accident on Sunday, March 10^th, on Pacheco Boulevard left one dead and four others with serious injuries.

Police have since arrested 21-year-old Ivan Andrade for suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, gross negligence, and hit-and-run involving injury or death. Authorities report that he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol and driving over 100 mph when he crashed his white Dodge Challenger into a white Nissan Pathfinder.

The impact was so strong that it threw the Pathfinder’s driver from the vehicle, despite them wearing a safety belt. Two passengers in the Pathfinder suffered major injuries, while a third passenger died at the scene.

Paramedics took a passenger found in Andrade’s vehicle to a local hospital with serious injuries after Andrade fled from the scene.
