Arden-Arcade, CA – Rene Zaragoza Arrested After DUI Hit-and-Run Accident on Bell Street
Arden-Arcade, CA (March 18, 2019) – On the morning of March 17th, a fatal DUI hit-and-run accident happened at the intersection of Bell Street and Marconi Avenue. According to the reports, a driver named Rene Zaragoza, Jr. was driving a 2010 white Infiniti when he failed to stop at a red light and crashed into a Toyota Corolla at 1:30 a.m.
When the paramedics arrived, they found the 36-year-old driver of the Corolla, along with his 9-year-old son, suffering from serious injuries and transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, the 9-year-old boy died from his injuries at the hospital.
Zaragoza proceeded to drive off without stopping to help the injured victims. Fortunately, the police later found him and arrested him for vehicular homicide and felony DUI.
