Morgan Hill, CA – Motorcyclist Killed on Hwy 101 North Identified as Jesse Del Rio
Morgan Hill, CA (March 23, 2019) – CHP has identified the victim of a fatal accident which involved a motorcycle and a pickup truck on Saturday, March 17th, just after 5:00 p.m.
A pickup truck was slowing for traffic on Highway 101 when the motorcyclist struck it from behind. The motorcyclist, who was identified as Jesse Del Rio, 30, of San Jose, passed away after the collision.
California Highway Patrol listed that the collision took place around 5:10 p.m. in the northbound lanes approaching Dunne Avenue.
The investigation stated that Del Rio was slowing down on his 2011 Yamaha R1 in the left lane but was not able to stop in time and hit the back of a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
Del Rio transported to Regional Medical Center in San Jose, where he passed away due to his injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck was a 45-year-old San Jose woman who sustained minor injuries. There was no evidence of alcohol or drugs.
