Barstow, CA – Driver Airlifted After Crashing Into the Back of a Semi on I-15
Barstow, CA (March 23, 2019) – A multi-vehicle accident involving a semi-truck and an automobile occurred early Saturday that caused serious injuries to at least one person.
California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of this accident. According to CHP officers, the crash occurred around 4:00 a.m. on northbound Interstate 15, north of the Stoddard Wells Road exit, near mile marker 63.
The driver of the semi-truck reported that the automobile hit the back of his semi on the right-hand shoulder. Firefighters were called on to the scene and found a white sedan with major damage.
A medical helicopter was called to render aid. The injured driver was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment and further evaluation for life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
