Central Fresno, CA – Wrong-Way Crash Involving School Bus on Hwy 99
Central Fresno, CA (March 30, 2019) – A multi-vehicle accident involving a school bus occurred on March 28th, just before 11:00 p.m., that injured one person.
California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of this accident. According to CHP officers, the head-on crash between a bus and a vehicle happened on Highway 99. The bus driver was not injured. However, the other driver suffered injuries due to the crash.
The bus driver has been identified as Dianne R. Bell of Little Rock, AR. Bell was following another bus, driving a 2019 Thomas school bus south onto northbound CA-99 from the Golden State Boulevard offramp. Marilyn Gorman was in a 2008 Ford F-150, traveling northbound on CA-99. The two collided and Gorman was treated by paramedics on the scene.
Alcohol and drugs were not involved in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
