California Highway Patrol responded to the scene. Three of the five passengers were trapped in the car and had to be extricated from the vehicle.
Emergency responders were called to the scene to render aid the injured drivers. The injured occupants were transported to St. Elizabeth, Mercy, and Shasta Regional hospitals. All of the teens were wearing seatbelts.
We would like to take a moment to extend our genuine sympathies to those involved in this accident, with the hopes that they will be able to make complete recoveries.
Multiple Passenger Injuries
A passenger injury claim works just like any other type of car accident claim. Once the passenger has received medical treatment, the passenger has to negotiate with the driver’s insurance company. Sometimes it is difficult to settle these type of injury cases. Damages can include medical bills, pain and suffering, lost income, and even permanent disability.
When multiple passengers are injured in a collision, every injured party must file a claim against the negligent driver. The combined value of the injury cases may exceed the driver’s insurance. In that case, the settlements may be less. If you are a passenger who was hurt in a car accident, and you have any questions, you may want to discuss your situation with a car accident lawyer.
