Woodland Hills, CA – 17-Year-Old Facing Possible Murder Charges in Fatal Crash
Woodland Hills, CA (March 30, 2019) – A 17-year-old boy has been taken into custody and may face murder charges after a vehicular accident that led to a fatality as well as several injuries.
The crash happened on Friday night, March 29th. California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of this fatal accident.
The boy is suspected of operating a 2019 Mercedes-Benz in a reckless manner for several blocks. He then ran a red light and struck a Toyota Tacoma at the intersection of Winnetka Avenue and Ventura Boulevard.
The adult male driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene. The Mercedes also hit two other cars.
Emergency responders were called to the scene to render aid the injured drivers. The driver of the Mercedes and his passenger, also a minor, were transported to the local hospital. One additional driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
