Bishop, CA – Bicyclist Killed in Mono County on US-6
Bishop, CA (March 30, 2019) – A bicyclist died Friday morning just after 10:30 a.m. when they were struck along US-6.
The incident occurred on US-6 and Chalfant Loop Road. The bicyclist was traveling north on US-6 in the bike lane, while, at the same time, a driver from Hammil Valley was traveling south on US-6 at about 50 mph in a Chevrolet Impala.
The bicyclist turned in front of the car and the Impala hit the bicyclist, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The bicyclist has not been identified pending notification of next of kin.
