Bicycle Safety in California
Bicycle safety is not only the responsibility of bicyclists. Those driving vehicles are equally responsible for the safety of the bicyclists with whom they share the road. When people driving cars fail to take into consideration the vulnerability of bicycles compared with cars, fatal accidents can happen. Just something simple, such as not checking for a bicyclist when making a turn, can cause fatality or major injuries.
