Victorville CA- Major Injuries in Bus Crash on Palmdale Road

Victorville, CA (April 5, 2019)- Drowsiness was the reported cause of a bus-involved crash on Thursday on Palmdale Road at 2:30 pm.

According to reports, the collision occurred when a silver 2015 Nissan Sentra driving on Palmdale close to Borego Road veered off the road and crashed into the back of a parked Victor Valley Transit Authority bus.

The crash caused injuries for four people inside the bus. Two of the victims in the bus were taken by ambulance to local hospitals for treatment of major injuries.

Officials noted that a mother, infant, and other young children were in the rear of the bus when the accident occurred. Details about their conditions were not available at this time.

The cause of the crash is believed to be drowsy driving. The Nissan driver apparently was heading home after a late work shift.

The crash is under investigation.
