Fresno County, CA – Chain Reaction Crash Injures Two Field Workers
Fresno County, CA (April 6, 2019) – A vehicle made an illegal turn that started a multi-vehicle chain reaction accident in Fresno County on Friday morning.
California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of this injury accident. According to CHP officers, the crash happened at around 10:30 a.m. at Central Avenue and Highway 145.
The driver was parked on the side of the highway when he pulled out without looking and made a U-turn in front of an oncoming vehicle.
That collision caused both vehicles to veer off and hit parked vehicles on the side of the road. As well, the vehicle struck two migrant workers who were eating lunch in the immediate area.
Emergency responders were called to the scene to render aid. One of the workers was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, while the other was transported by ambulance to Madera Community Hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
Our thoughts are with the two workers who were injured in this accident. We hope for a full recovery of both victims.
Negligence While Driving
It was carelessness of the driver that caused his vehicle to hit the group of parked cars, and colliding with the innocent pedestrian migrant workers. As the investigation is ongoing, officials need to determine what role this negligence and recklessness played in what lead up to the crash and the injuries onsite. The innocent victims of the crash have the right to file a personal injury lawsuit, to seek compensation for their medical bills, pain, and suffering. By seeking the assistance of a professional lawyer, these individuals can receive recompense.
