Pedestrian-Truck Accidents in California
The National Highway Transportation Safety Board reported that out of all fatal accidents with large trucks, such as semi-trucks, 6.1% resulted in pedestrian death in 2016. This translates to 364 pedestrians killed by large trucks in the United States. Sadly, this number does not seem to have been an improvement over the years, with 6.3% of truck accidents resulting in pedestrian fatalities (308 pedestrians) in 2014 and 6.1% (337 pedestrians) in 2015.
