Oxnard CA- One Dead in Construction Site Accident on West Camino Del Sol

Oxnard, CA (April 12, 2019)- A crane collapse on a construction site in the 3000 block of West Camino del Sol left one man dead and another injured. The incident took place Thursday at around 1:40 pm.

The crane was being used to lift a concrete wall when either the wall or the crane fell and struck a 54-year-old carpenter.

The Oxnard Fire Department reported that emergency medical personnel declared the man dead at the site of the accident.

Details about the second person injured in the accident were not reported.

The California Division of Occupational Health and Safety Administration (Cal/OSHA) and local police have begun an investigation into the cause of the crash.
