Adelanto CA- Pedestrian Hurt in Crash on Highway 395 Near Palmdale Rd.

Adelanto, CA (April 12, 2019)- A crash on Highway 395 north of Palmdale Road left a pedestrian injured on Tuesday. The collision occurred as the pedestrian left a nearby Panda Express restaurant. He began to cross from highway 395 eastward toward a truck on the other side of the highway, about 200 feet from the Palmdale Road crosswalk.

A white Toyota Yaris driving at approximately 40 miles per hour hit the pedestrian. Following the crash, the driver cooperated with officials at the crash scene. She and her son, who was also in the car, were not injured in the crash.

Victorville Fire Department’s Medic Engine 311 and 313, battalion chief 4311, the AMR, and San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene. The pedestrian victim was conscious and alert. He was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center to be examined for injuries.

Victorville Fire provided mutual aid to Adelanto, the jurisdiction where the crash occurred. San Bernardino usually serves the Adelanto area.

Highway 395 northbound was closed briefly in order to clear the roadway.
