Napa, CA- Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Highway 29 Near First St.
Napa, CA (April 15, 2019)- A pedestrian crash on Highway 29 northbound in Napa left one man dead and another injured on Saturday night. The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred at around 8:58 pm when a 25-year-old Napa resident attempted to cross the highway from east to west. He was hit by a northbound 2001 GMC.
The driver of the GMC, a 51-year-old Concord man named Fernando Morales reportedly attempted to veer away from the pedestrian. However, this attempt was not successful. The pedestrian died at the scene.
Morales suffered moderate injuries and was transported to the hospital.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
