Wilmington, CA – Couple Injured In Hit-And-Run Accident On Anaheim St And Gulf Ave
Wilmington, CA (April 20, 2017) – An alleged hit-and-run crash injures a mother and father at the intersection of Anaheim St and Gulf Ave. The crash resulted in the hospitalization of the two injured parties on Wednesday in the early afternoon.
Officials claim the incident began when officers pursued a green pickup truck that was showing signs of erratic driving.
The vehicle ran a stop sign which resulted in it slamming into a silver-colored SUV. The accident took place at 1:45 p.m.
Sources report that the SUV rolled over due the impact and slid across the road. The SUV was carrying a family of five, with the two injured parents and three young children.
The two adults sustained only minor injuries, while the children were unharmed by the accident overall.
The identities of the victims have not yet been made public.
Authorities claim the driver of the truck exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.
