San Bernardino, CA – Woman Dies After Crash on Highway 18 South of Upper Waterman Canyon Road

San Bernardino, CA (April 27, 2019) – A two-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer occurred on April 25 at 12:30 p.m. that took the life of one person.

California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of this fatal accident. According to CHP officers, the crash occurred on Highway 18, south of Upper Waterman Canyon Road just north of San Bernardino.

A Ford Ranger was moving southbound on Highway 18. The crash occurred when the Ranger struck the back of a tractor-trailer that was parked on the right shoulder. The tractor-trailer was totally off the roadway.

Emergency responders were called to the scene to render aid the injured drivers. The driver of the Ford was transported to Loma Linda Medical Center for treatment and further evaluation. The passenger of the Ford was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where unfortunately she passed away from her injuries. The driver of the Ford suffered major injuries and was transported by ground to Loma Linda Medical Center. The driver of the tractor-trailer suffered minor injuries.

Drugs are suspected to be a factor in the crash.
