Palm Springs, CA – Police Officer Injured in DUI Accident on Los Felices Rd

Palm Springs, CA (May 1, 2019) On the night of April 29^th, a DUI accident happened at the intersection of Los Felices Road and West San Rafael Drive.

A Palm Springs Police Officer was operating a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria Squad Car on San Rafael Road when it collided with a 2010 Subaru Impreza at approximately 10:44 p.m.

The Subaru was driving on Los Felices Road when it drove through a stop sign and crashed into the police car at the intersection. The impact of the crash caused major damage to both vehicles.

When the paramedics arrived, they found the police officer seriously injured and immediately took him to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The police are investigating the accident, but they arrested the driver of the Subaru, 60-year-old Thomas Cain, for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the crash.
