Ramona, CA- Fatal Motorcycle Accident at San Vicente Rd. & Vista Vicente Dr.

Ramona, CA (May 2, 2019)- A motorcyclist is dead following a collision with an SUV at San Vicente Road and Vista Vicente Drive.

The crash happened at approximately 12:50 pm when the motorcycle, a 2001 Yamaha R-1, hit a 2018 Lincoln SUV as the motorcyclist was driving at high speed eastbound toward the intersection.

Reports stated that two other drivers pulled over to perform CPR on the motorcyclist immediately following the crash. Cal Fire San Diego personnel also provided treatment. However, the motorcyclist passed away at the scene.

The motorcyclist was reportedly wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. However, additional witness reports noted that the rider was performing “wheelies” and recklessly passing other vehicles at a high rate of speed.

The SUV driver, an 82-year-old man, was uninjured.

It is not currently known if alcohol or other substances were involved in the crash.

An investigation is underway.
