Hemet, CA- Joshua Serquina Killed in Crash on Florida Ave. Near Warren Rd.

Hemet, CA (May 3, 2019)- Authorities reported a car crash that killed 22-year-old Beaumont resident, Joshua Serquina, at approximately 9 pm on Wednesday.

The crash took place on Florida Avenue close to Warren Road when a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta driven by 25-year-old Faalele Rosemarie Patea ran into the rear-end of a Honda Civic in which Sequina was a passenger.

Sequina sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

According to reports, Patea was driving over 100 miles per hour before rear-ending the Civic. She was arrested and charged with gross vehicular manslaughter and DUI.

The crash is currently under investigation.
