Chico, CA – Fatal Crash On Golden State Hwy At Eaton Rd.

Chico, CA (May 4, 2019) – A multi-vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer occurred on May 3rd just after 4 p.m. took the life at least one person.

California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of this fatal accident.  According to CHP officers, the crash occurred at 4:11 p.m. on northbound Golden State Highway (Highway 99) at Eaton Road in Chico. The crash involved a big rig and a Hyundai Santa Fe.

Emergency responders were called to the scene to render aid the injured drivers.  The injured parties were transported to local hospitals for treatment and further evaluation. Sadly, at least one person did not survive their injuries from this accident.

Roadways were closed pending investigations, but are now reopened.
