Los Angeles, CA – Officer Escorting Mike Pompeo’s Motorcade Injured In Crash On Centinela Ave.

Los Angeles, CA (May 12, 2019) – A California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer that was working to control traffic for the motorcade of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Los Angeles was injured in a collision on May 11.

California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of this injury accident.  According to CHP officers, the crash occurred around at 2:08 p.m. on Centinela Ave. The officer was helping to control traffic as the motorcade was in motion when his motorcycle struck a civilian vehicle whose driver was allegedly making an illegal U-turn.

Emergency responders were called to the scene to render aid the injured officer who suffered three broken ribs and bumps and bruises. He was transported to UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center for treatment and further evaluation.
