1 Person Injured After Car Crash on Highway 78 in Oceanside

(June 24, 2018) – According to a local news source, one person had to be hospitalized Saturday morning, following a motor vehicle accident in Oceanside. The collision happened on Highway 78 at approximately 11:15 a.m. when a Mini Cooper and a van collided on the westbound portion of the Highway. Reportedly, both vehicles had overturned as a result of the impact, leaving both of them on their roofs.

While reports stated that two people were injured during the crash, only one was taken to the hospital for treatment. The injuries appeared to be moderate, and the other driver declined to be treated at a hospital as they did not seem to be seriously hurt. The names of the drivers have not been released, and the exact cause of the crash is under investigation.
