Belmont Shore, CA – Bike Accident Critically Injures Woman On Bayshore Ave. & 2nd St.

Belmont Shore, CA (May 19, 2019) – A car and bicycle accident occurred on Thursday that injured one person.

California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of this injury accident.  According to CHP officers, the crash occurred at 5:25 a.m. on Bayshore Ave. and Second St.

The bicyclist was riding north on Bayshore Ave. and entered the intersection with Second St. on a red light. A black Jeep going west on Second Street went into the intersection on a green light and struck the bicyclist. The male driver of the Jeep remained on scene and cooperated fully with the investigation.

Emergency responders were called to the scene to render aid. An adult woman suffered injuries to her upper torso. She was transported to a local hospital, where she is listed as in critical condition.
