Victorville, CA-Two Dead After Crash on Hwy 395 and Luna Rd

Victorville, CA (May 20, 2019)- Two people were killed in an accident involving a driver fleeing the site of another crash on Saturday. The collision happened at approximately 6:46 am at Highway 395 and Luna Road intersection.

The San Bernardino County Coroner’s office reported that the two persons killed in the Victorville crash were 28-year-old Victorville resident Ramiro Angulo and 27-year-old Victorville resident Erin Garybroaster.

According to reports, Angulo, who was driving a 2018 blue Honda Civic, was involved in a minor fender-bender crash on Palmdale Road and Highway 395. As he fled the scene of that crash, he crashed into Garybroaster’s silver 2007 Mercedes Benz as he traveled on 395 southbound. Garybroaster was driving on Luna Road eastbound when Angulo ran a red light at the intersection and hit the Mercedes.

The Honda broadsided the Mercedes, damaging the driver side door. Angulo’s Honda was damaged at the front end.

Angulo and Garybroaster were both declared dead at the scene of the crash.

A passenger in Garybroaster’s vehicle was injured and taken by air ambulance to a trauma hospital.

The crash is currently under investigation by the MAIT. Details about whether alcohol or other substances contributed to the crash are unknown at this time.
