Lancaster, CA- Fatal Crash Involving Pickup and Motorcycle on 15th St and Ave I

Lancaster, CA (May 20, 2019)- A motorcycle and pickup truck crashed on Sunday at around 1:30 am on 15th Street and Avenue I, causing a second accident that injured a Good Samaritan.

Reports stated that an eastbound traveling red pickup crashed with a motorcyclist traveling westbound on Avenue I as the pickup truck turned left at the intersection. The force of the crash caused the motorcyclist to become trapped under the truck.

Persons in the area of the crash attempted to assist the victim. A woman attempting to assist was struck by another vehicle as she stood near the damaged pickup truck. This vehicle subsequently hit two more cars in the area.

The injured woman who had acted as a Good Samaritan was transported o Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment of critical injuries.

Further details are not available at this time. Unknown details include whether others were hurt in the crash as well as the names of the injured woman and the person killed in the collision.

The crash is under investigation.
