Costa Mesa, CA – 1 Injured in Bicycle Accident on Newport Blvd & Cecil Place
Costa Mesa, CA (May 22, 2019) On the morning of May 22nd, a bicycle accident happened on Newport Boulevard and Cecil Place, not far from 22nd Street. A truck struck a 34-year-old woman riding her bicycle at approximately 6:00 a.m.
When the paramedics arrived, they found the injured woman lying in the roadway suffering from life-threatening injuries. They immediately rushed her to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Fortunately, the 43-year-old truck driver remained at the scene while authorities investigated.
The Costa Mesa Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is still investigating to determine what caused the truck driver to crash into the bicyclist.
