Arden Arcade, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Crash On Arden Way Near Wayland Ave

Arden Arcade, CA (May 23, 2019) – A suspected DUI driver killed a pedestrian on Wednesday near the Arden Fair Mall on Arden Way, near Wayland Avenue.

The crash happened around 11:30 p.m when a woman with a shopping cart was crossing the street outside the crosswalk was struck by a vehicle. The cause of the crash is unknown.

The driver who hit the pedestrian stopped at the site of the accident, where officials took him he was taken into custody under suspicion of DUI.

The driver’s name has not been released. The name of the victim has not been released pending family notification.

Both directions of Arden Way were blocked while authorities began their investigation.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
