Arden Arcade, CA- UPDATE: Shelly Rau Killed In Pedestrian Crash on Arden Way

Arden Arcade, CA (May 24, 2019)- The victim of a pedestrian crash that involved a DUI driver has been identified as 45-year-old Shelly Rau.

Rau passed away following an accident on Wednesday at approximately 11:30 pm on Arden Way near Wayland Avenue, east of the Arden Fair Mall.

As Rau attempted to cross Arden Avenue with a shopping cart, she was struck while outside of the crosswalk. The driver fled the scene.

Authorities soon located and arrested the male driver for suspicion of DUI.

All lanes of Arden Way were briefly closed in order for the investigation to commence.
