Nuevo, CA- One Seriously Injured in Accident at Menifee Rd. And Blanik Ave

Nuevo, CA (May 27, 2019)- A crash at Menifee Road and Blanik Avenue left one person with serious injuries on Sunday night at approximately 7:47 pm.

The California Highway Patrol stated that the crash involved a white Ford F-150 and another vehicle. One of the vehicles was reportedly driving at high speed. However, the CHP report did not clarify which of the two vehicles was speeding.

The crash damaged a fire hydrant and water line. The Ford truck hit a fire hydrant prior to overturning, while the other vehicle cause water to spray over the street after striking a water line.

Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and treated at last one person for major injuries.

An investigation into the cause of the crash, including whether drugs or other substances were involved, is underway.
