Palm Springs, California – Man Injured During Pedestrian Accident on Indian Canyon Drive

Palm Springs, California (June 23, 2018) – Local news reported that a pedestrian was seriously injured in an accident that took place near the 1300 block of Indian Canyon Drive in the Palm Springs area. The incident took place around 9:15 PM on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Authorities have not yet revealed the identities of the pedestrian or the motorist at this time.

As per the report, the male pedestrian was walking down Indian Canyon Drive on Saturday night. At the same time, a driver of a GMC SUV was heading southbound down the same route. Without warning, the vehicle slammed into the pedestrian.  The motorist was completely unharmed during the accident and cooperated with law enforcement during initial investigations.

Following the crash, the male pedestrian sustained severe industries and was transported to a nearby hospital to receive treatment. Medical personnel have not elaborated on his current physical state.

At present, the investigation is ongoing. However, authorities confirmed the male pedestrian had wandered from the designated crosswalk area. Investigators have yet to determine if this action could have contributed to the accident.
