When Motorcycles and Larger Vehicles Crash In California
The Insurance Information Institute published a report showing that collisions between motorcycles and larger passenger vehicles such as trucks and SUVs accounted for 18,675 deadly crashes and 1,198,000 injury crashes in the US in 2015.
Motorcycles are the smallest and most vulnerable vehicles on California roads. When a motorcycle is in an accident with a car, much damage can occur. When a motorcycle crashes with a larger vehicle such as a pickup or SUV, the likelihood of the motorcyclist coming out of the accident uninjured is very low.
