Paso Robles, California – Mother and Daughter Injured during Traffic Collision near Highway 101 and Highway 46
Paso Robles, California (June 24, 2018) – Local news sources indicate a female driver and her young daughter sustained injuries during a traffic accident near Highway 101 and the Highway 46 East off-ramp. Sources identified the victims as 28-year old Monterey resident Lindsay Beery and 4-year old Olivia, her daughter. The identity of the female motorist who struck Beery’s vehicle has not been revealed.
As the California Highway Patrol explained, Beery was driving her Honda CR-V towards the Highway 101 exit where she was forced to stop in a line of traffic. As Beery prepared to make a right turn, another vehicle plowed into her SUV on the Highway 46 East off-ramp. The impact sent the Honda tumbling over the edge of the highway and ultimately crashing into a ravine.
As per the CHP report, Beery was taken to a hospital, where she was treated for minimal injuries including scrapes and bruises. Her daughter was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center and later transferred to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera, where she received treatment for traumatic injuries including fractured vertebrae, shattered teeth, a punctured lung, and broken ribs. The mother and child’s current conditions have not been released to the public.
Meanwhile, the investigation is ongoing. The female motorist who crashed into Beery’s vehicle explained that she had been driving her vehicle at 45 mph and that she had not noticed the line of halted traffic. Unfortunately, she could not stop in time and ultimately crashed into the Honda. As more evidence surrounding the case comes forward, more information will be released to the public.
We send our warmest thoughts and most heartfelt prayers to Beery and her young daughter, as well as their family and friends, during this difficult time and wish them fast and efficient recoveries.

As further investigations take place, authorities will consider if the female driver should be held responsible for the crash, ultimately causing the injuries sustained by the mother and daughter. As per traffic laws, the unnamed motorist did not notice the traffic lights and failed to stop. Authorities consider a variety of factors including distracted driving, DUI, and speeding were primary causes of the accident.
In this case, if the female motorist is found guilty of causing the crash, the injured mother can file a personal injury lawsuit.
