Victorville, CA- Child Injured in Crash on Mariposa Rd Near Bear Valley Rd

Victorville, CA (June 3, 2019)- An accident on Mariposa Road near Bear Valley Road left a child with injuries on Friday at approximately 3:16 pm.

The crash, which took place close to the Vallarta Shopping Center, involved a silver 2014 Toyota Camry and a black Nissan sedan. According to reports, the Camry driver was exiting the parking lot at the shopping center when the northbound Nissan collided with it.

The accident resulted in injuries to a child, requiring that he be taken to a trauma center via a Mercy Air helicopter.

According to officials, though the boy experienced injuries, the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Both sides of Mariposa Road were closed for approximately an hour in order for the air ambulance to land and depart.

Officials are asking anyone with information about the accident to contact them.

The accident is under investigation.
