Merced, CA – 2 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident on Foothill Dr
Merced, CA (June 4, 2019) On the morning of June 4th, a multi-vehicle accident happened at the intersection of Foothill Drive and G Street. A BMW 3 Series made a left turn onto G Street while a Chevrolet 3500 pickup truck ran a red light at the intersection. As a result, the two vehicles crashed into each other at approximately 10:47 a.m. The impact of the crash caused the BMW to spin through the roadway and crash into a Toyota Camry.
When emergency crews arrived to assist everyone involved, they found two drivers seriously injured at the scene. An emergency helicopter transported the driver of the BMW to a hospital in Modesto. A ground ambulance transported the driver of the Chevrolet to Mercy Medical Center.
Authorities are still investigating the major collision.
