UPDATE: Fullerton, CA – Luz Maria Rodriguez Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident on W Ave

Fullerton, CA (June 10, 2019) On the evening of June 7^th, a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened in the north alley at 400 West Avenue, not far from South Ford Avenue. A vehicle struck a 42-year-old woman at approximately 8:35 p.m. Unfortunately, the driver did not stop to check and see if the woman was okay.

When the ambulance arrived, they found the woman lying on the ground suffering from life-threatening injuries. They immediately rushed her to the hospital for treatment. Sadly, she died at the hospital despite immediate medical care. She has been identified as Luz Maria Rodriguez.

The police searched for a silver BMW SUV that was suspected to have hit Rodriguez. They found the vehicle between Harbor Boulevard and Berkeley Avenue, just two miles away from the crash site. They arrested 36-year-old Angel Palomar Corona for felony DUI causing serious bodily injury, felony hit-and-run causing death, and driving without a license.
