Amador, CA- One Dead When Truck and SUV Collide on Hwy 49 Near Electra Rd
Amador, CA (June 11, 2019)- The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal accident on Monday at approximately 4 pm near Electra Road. The report stated that the crash occurred when a full-sized truck collided head-on with a small SUV. Subsequently, one of the vehicles caught on fire.
One person passed away at the accident site. Their identification has not been released.
In order to begin an investigation into the crash and remove the damaged vehicles, Highway 49 was briefly closed.
No further details are available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
