Montara, CA- Couple Hurt in Motorcycle Crash on Hwy 1 at 14th St and Farallone Ave

Montara, CA (June 13, 2019)- The California Highway Patrol reported a motorcycle accident that left two British Columbia residents with serious injuries on Hwy 1 in Montara.

The crash, which took place Tuesday at around noon between 14th Street and Farallone Avenue, involved a sport utility vehicle. According to the CHP, the motorcycle hit the back of the SUV, causing the motorcycle to swerve toward the right.

The accident victims, who are in their 50s, both sustained serious head injuries. They were taken by Life Flight air ambulance to Half Moon Bay Airport, where they were subsequently transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital.

The vehicle driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash is under investigation.
